How do I change my 3 prong plug to a 4 prong plug
Where would the green wire go

Honestly, that sounds scary, I'd call a licensed electrician to install the right plug so you don't unintentionally start a fire.

No one metioned or stated this. Make sure your dryer is electric and not gas. Electric dryers need 240V to power the heating coils for drying and the drum motor is run by 120V. Gas dryers have a burner that is lit by an igniter using 120V and the 120V drum motor.

You must remove the grounding strap (the brass colored bar attached to the dryer and the wire) from the middle wire in your first picture. Your green ground wire then gets connected to the black screw where the strap was connected.

You can’t. The only way would be to change out the motors in the dryer. The 4-prong, 4-wire connector is made for 240-volts. You would first need a 240v breaker in the fuse panel. The wires are as follows: red-power, black-power, white-neutral, and green-ground. If you don’t have 4 lugs on the dryer you’ll have to leave it as is, or get a different dryer.
