Ask at the paint counter. They make special paint for tile. For one that is cracked, consider painting on a design with a stencil and then seal it so the crack will less obvious.

You definitely can but you need to use the right kind of paint. Try an oil based. Someone at the paint store should be able to help you select the right one.
Yes you can use epoxy paint. Make sure you use it in a well ventilated area.
Yes, I would use a kit like RustOleum tub & tile. The smell is strong so make sure you vent went and wear a respirator.
