Bottle tree?
Hello E ! Does anyone remember the glass bottle tree with the different colored glass beer bottle or 12 oz. soda bottles? You make it with a tomato cage? Well, I made 1 last year & it came out very cute except I was only able to fine dark blue & green beer bottles. No, I didn't drink the beer, my neighbor's did, LOL. Does anyone know where I can find some bottles in different colors? I want to add a smaller cage to the large cage & then add the new bottles. Thank you E1 !!!

HI there! I would totally go check out your local salvage depot or antique store! One of my antique stores has this ridiculous amount of old glass bottles in about every color they ever came in and they're only about $1 a piece! You could also consider checking out your local transfer station (your local dump) where they do glass recycling. Lots of times they have big bins of unbroken glass bottles they wouldn't mind you picking through.
Lots of pictures to get ideas from:

Try bottled water section. San Pelligrino & Perrier come in a green bottle, Saratoga is in the blue bottles. Reach out on fb to friends, you'll be surprised probably.
Try a local bar they might be only serving from bottles, call first to s ave yourself some steps. Also try asking some craft brewers where they sell to...the IPA's, etc.
Hi! Wine bottles come in some different colors. Check out sparkling grape juice bottles, also.
Put a (free) ad in Craigslist or Kijiji, under Items Wanted asking for the exact type, color, and number of bottles that you would like for your project. As pictures 'paint a thousand words', look on Google Images first for the bottles you would like, save individual pictures, then post them with your Want Ad.
Be sure to specify if you will be picking up the bottles at the address where they are located, or if you would like them delivered to your address.
Hello,
Try a Bar or Bottle Bank or buy your neighbours drink in the bottles you want to use and go from there!

Try your local bars. Sometimes they’re willing to save bottles for you.

Dollar Tree sometimes sells different colored bottles, and you can sometimes find fun bottles in the water section of the grocery store.

If you get clear bottles, you can paint them. You can dye any type of clear glass with waterproof paint or food coloring. Coloring glass with food coloring is faster and less expensive; however, it should not be used with glass that will get wet.
