How do I remove Nut Sedge?

I have Nut Sedge growing in my vegetable garden, especially in one raised bed. When the bed was prepped for planting the nut sedge was removed by hand and garden tools, but it’s returned with a vengeance.

It looks like fine shoots of triangular blades of grass with a fine white root and a small brown nut a the end of the root. It grows quickly and the grass blades get thicker, stronger, and taller.

I found products on the market for removing it from lawns, etc, but wondering if that’s safe to use in a bed with strawberry plants in it and around the veg garden beds, walkways etc.

Hand weeding is ineffective as the nut breaks away and remains in the soil to continue producing more blades of grass..

Thanks.
