How can I find someone who wants a free upright piano? asap
I have a friend that sending to dump unless I find some one to take it. Go online You Tube and put upright piano into bar. Wow incredible! All sort of things to be made out of the keys n other parts of the piano. The keys might be able to be cleaned off. They are ivory. Yep that old. She is in the ballwin area of St. Louis mo. It has very beautiful wood and so ornate!!!! Let me know asap be fore they put into the big dumpster in front of the house. I wish I could do it but alas I can not . I will see if she will send pics. Where I live places that sell music equipment have bulletin boards for customers to post their stuff. Or contact a retirement home and see if they would be interested what about a local church or community clubhouse?
Put it on Craigslist or facebook Marketplace.
Try local online posting places, you never know who would like 1 and be close by.
We went through this a couple of years ago with a Spinet, finally found someone to take it for free from work, maybe post it there or if there are multiple friends and family that work, maybe they can post for your friend.
