a fix is hard. You could maybe try a slipcover over the whole couch?

Here's one way to fix this:

You might encourage the person who is smoking on the couch to not do this, it is a safety hazard in more way than 1.
Cut a patch from a hidden area on the couch. Cut away the burned edges and put the patch on attaching it with fabric glue.
Find a hidden area of fabric. Use a straight edge razor blade to scrape away some of the fibers. Use fabric glue and mix the fibers with the glue. Press into the hole and let it dry. The glue dries clear but you can scrape away excess if necessary.
I once saw such a fun post about using embroidery to cover up tears and holes in fabric so, instead of hiding it, it looks like you added some pretty to your couch. https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/mend-and-repair-clothes-using-embroidery-4147820
Cut pieces with a cuticle scissors holding on to the clump you cut and glue into the burned area. Place a dot of glue in the hole so you can put the pieces you cut directly into the glue.
E-6000 glue comes in clear.
I believe it works best if you trim the burnt edges and then use fabric or fray glue to glue the edges on the under material before cutting a matching piece.Let the glue dry completely and then cut a piece (from the back or hidden area) larger than your hole so you can trim it to fit as closely as possible.

I would be afraid whoever is burning your sofa with cigarettes would set the entire thing on fire since most fabrics are flammable
Hello I would try to stitch it closed in a darning fashion. A disguised repair might be to poke a piece of fab or brown felt inside and behind the hole.
Hi! The methods mentioned all work. But, I know of a family who lost two children in a house fire after a couch smoldered for hours from hot ash from a cigarette. When the cushion finally ignited hours later, it caused heavy smoke that caused the children not to survive. Please consider this as a safety issue for you and anyone else living in the same building as you. Fabric can be replaced or repaired.
Do you think these cigarette burns will still happen? If so, then I'm not sure that fixing this now will help. Maybe look for a burn resistant material and figure out a way so that this doesn't keep happening.
Take a piece of fabric from the bottom of the couch or back, and put it behind the hole but make sure the glue is on the front of the fabric edges so that it adheres. It dries clear so that will not be a problem. Another way would be to darn it or embroider a few stitches. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXZEV3toMhg
Not really repairable Should just get it recovered or cover chair with something
i dont think it is reparable
What is required is an invisible darn! Buy some thread or wool right colours and try it!
I to talk to someone about a cigarette burn on my couch

i would find yarn similar to it and stich on it
Easiest thing to do is cover the entire couch with a slip cover that you can take off and throw it in the washer when it gets dirty or replace if someone burns that.
