Before you dispose your old cabinets consider looking at inspiration on how to upcycle it.

We have this cabinet at home and it does not go with the designs I am trying to achieve. We are living in a small space and I thought changing the accents into white will make it look it bigger. But this cabinet just don't do it.

I am not keen in painting and never painted a wall or furniture in my whole life so I thought I might damage the item. I decide to use wallpaper because it's easy and with so many choices of design.

Found this maple embossed wallpaper and it looks good in our space! It matches the decors and blends with the accents.

To start, I cleaned the cabinet first to make sure no dust are sticking and it will be easy to flatten the wallpaper. Then I removed the handles.

I covered the top part first. I made a mistake peeling the entire wallpaper and ended up wasting a big size.

Next are the doors. Wallpapers usually have a guide on where to cut. Make sure to check the right size you want to avoid repelling at re attaching it.

I decided to add accents on top of the cabinet to maximize the space.

We are done :)
