From Drab to Fab!
These nesting tables were given to us to update. We went back and for about what color should we paint them and should we distress them. In the end, it was one of the few pieces of furniture that we didn’t distress.
They started off a very dark green base and the top was basically natural. The top did have a gloss to it and was very unappealing. There are actually 3 tables. Not sure where the small table was. Probably being painted. The pieces were given a good sanding.
The bottom of all 3 got painted black. It made it look rich immediately.
The top was then stained. The picture doesn’t really show it, but the color was more of gray tone.
This is the color I used. Love, love, love it!
All done. I did sand the design in the front. Before, it was painted black and it faded away. You really didn’t notice it. Once it was sanded it stood out. I stained it the same color as the top. The tables were then waxed.
And here they are in their new home! They can be separated out like this or for saving space, you can nestle them together.
