Farmhouse Wall Hanging

I stage furniture a lot. So sometimes I need to think of inexpensive wall decorations with items I already have.

I started gathering my supplies. I grabbed an old frame from an antique cabinet that was missing glass, 3 bottles from old decor, twine, and scissors.

Old windows would also work.

These are the glass bottles I had, or you could recycle Starbucks iced coffee bottles and use them.

I cut the twine about 9 feet and doubled it.

Then I wrapped it once around the bottle neck and knotted it.

So that it was secure..I wrapped it and tied it again.

I took the remaining twine and wrapped it around the top of my door.

Then I knotted it securely on the back side so you couldn't see it.

I found some fake flowers in my craft stash that wasn't too tall. Of course you could trim them if needed.

And here it is! Not fancy. But simply pretty. You can change out your flowers for the seasons easily.

P.S. You may want to add sawtooth picture hangers on your window or door. Mine was thick enough that I didn't need to.

I have a 9 pane window frame that I would like to do this with. I think that 9 bottles of flowers would be too much. How do you think it would look in a 2-1-2 pattern? Or perhaps a 1-2-3 pattern? Any ideas?
