Is there such a thing as too many risers?! I have a slight addiction, but they can get pricey!! Here is an alternative I made using cost effective supplies, that looks just as great!
Beaded Decor Riser
Start with 2 wooden or MDF circles. I got mine from Dollar Tree to make this even cheaper! They had a paper film on them so I peeled it off and gave it a quick sanding to smooth it out.
Spray paint both circles in the color of your choice. I choose to make my riser black.
The other supplies you will need are a candlestick and some wooden beads. I got these in black, but if yours are different colors you can spray paint these as well.
Apply a thin line of glue all the way around the perimeter and apply the wooden beads on top. I chose superglue, but you could also use a hot glue gun.
Take you other circle, apply another ring of glue around the perimeter, flip it upside down and attach it on top of the wooden beads.
Finally, apply glue to the top of the candlestick. Flip it upside down and attach to the wooden board.
So many styling possibilities with risers and this is probably my favorite one now! It looks so professional with a fraction of the cost!
