You should wait until it's at least 3 - 3&1/2 inches tall.
Hi Thomas
Here is info for you

Here's a post that might help http://ipm.ucanr.edu/TOOLS/TURF/ESTABLISH/mowing.html#:~:text=For%20seeded%20lawns%2C%20it%20may,seeds%20to%20germinate%20before%20mowing.
Wait until it REALLY needs a cut, then be sure the grass isn't wet and the blades on your mower are very sharp. Don't cut too short, mayble only 1/2" or so off the top.
Mowing seeds?! No, wait till it grows and needs to be mowed. At least 3" tall. Then only cut about 1/2' until it's established or you could tear it out of the ground
Wait until it is at least 3" high and then skim about 1/2" off with the mower, I would also not compost what you have cut off, let the mower spread out what you have cut off.
Rule of thumb is 4 weeks after planting seeds.
Go with height rather than time to dictate your mowing. Depending on rain and such, a month may not be the right timing. I agree with comments above on 3" as well as not using a bagger but let the mower spread your clippings.
For seeded lawns, it may take up to 2 months before they are ready to be mowed. Sod may be ready to be mowed within 2 to 3 weeks of planting. Three to six weeks are required for sprigs, stolons, and plugs to become established. For seeded lawns, wait for all of the seeds to germinate before mowing.
I would wait until it's established and longer than what you think looks too long. I like the 3" idea mentioned above. Be sure it's getting plenty of moisture though, because if you trim it back down, and on hot scorching days, you can easily kill off the new grass.
Seeded lawns require the longest time period between planting your grass and mowing. Because you must wait for seeds to germinate, you cannot cut the grass until two months have passed. If you planted your seeds during their active growing season, the blades should reach a 3 to 3.5 inch height after eight weeks.
In most cases, it would take approximately one to two months after your seeds sprout. This duration is long enough for the turf to adhere to the soil firmly so that it can withstand the force of a trimmer. One more thing, lock your sprinkler system or hose reel to enable your lawn to dry out for two days before you mow it for the first time.
Hi Thomas, Whether you've seeded bare spots or a whole lawn, hold off on mowing the area until the new grass has reached a mowing height, between 3 and 3½ inches. Make sure your mower blade is nice and sharp, and then cut your grass only when it's dry. Avoid mowing your new grass too short - removing no more than ⅓ of the height.
I would wait until you have several inches of grass
