Why isn’t my winter grass dead yet (in Phoenix)?
I bought my home in December and it had a lush beautiful winter lawn. About a month ago I decreased the watering schedule to begin to kill off the winter grass and bring back the Bermuda. The backyard died completely and the front yard looked dead about 2 weeks later. I then aerated and fertilized both lawns. The back yard Bermuda is coming in nice and thick but the front yard is 90% winter grass again (and thriving) with a few dead spots. It’s been over 90 degrees for several weeks if not months and over 100 for a week straight but the grass is still hanging on. Any idea what I can or should do?

I would check with a local nursery for their advice.
check with your county extension agency you can usually find them online and they have a lot of info for your area you can call them as well

Ways to Make Bermuda Grass Thicker
I’ve never heard of doing this, it must be regional. Check with your local nursery or garden center for the most specific advice.
Do you like the winter grass? I'm always a fan of keep doing what works. And if it hasn't died yet, I'd hold on to it until it does and then switch to Bermuda.
Hi,
Possibly because the world has a problem - It is getting warmer!
I would think it being greener would be ok and it will gradually do what it needs to do. You could check with some local neighbors if they have the same grass or see what theirs is doing or contact a lawn/nursery place.
Hi Matthew, t=I did not know this! Live and learn, I found an article for you, hope it helps, but I would talk to local greenhouses as well about this issue
