This post contains affiliate links. I have a deep affection for cappuccino and french vanilla is by far my favorite flavor. In fact, it’s really what inspired me to create this French Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub.

Making your own sugar scrub is so simple, that as soon as you do it once, you will most likely keep making it because of how easy it is. Oh, and did I mention cheap? Seriously, it’s one of the least expensive DIY projects that I have ever done. Another bonus of making sugar scrub yourself is that you can add your favorite scents and colors, making something completely custom to you, or something that you plan to gift it to.

Sugar scrubs are so great for exfoliating your skin, getting rid of those dead skin cells. Exfoliating with a sugar scrub can help create the appearance of smoother, glowing skin. I use a sugar scrub regularly on my skin and it really helps!

French Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub

You’ll need just a few ingredients to make your french vanilla sugar scrub. Most, if not all of these ingredients are likely in your house already. You’ll also need a few glass mason jars (I use the 4oz ones) and canning funnel, in addition to a glass bowl, measuring cups and a spoon. This recipe will fill (3) 4 ounce mason jars, and should be used within about 6 months.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup liquid coconut oil
  • 20 drops vanilla essential oil
  • 1 tbsp coffee grounds – you can even use coffee grounds that have already been brewed!

Now, just a few simple steps and you will have a delicious smelling, exfoliating sugar scrub to use.

Step 1. Add sugar, coconut oil and essential oil to a bowl. Stir well

Step 2. Add coffee grounds.

Step 2. Stir well to combine.

Step 4. Using a canning funnel, pour into 4 ounce mason jars.

See, it really is that simple to make your own sugar scrub! What other scents would you use?

I make my own to. You have to out a teaspoon if ru bing alcohol and a teaspoon of salt in the there to keep bacteria and mold from growing, you can use any kind of salt. I use sea salt or hymilayan pink salt. If I'm out regular old tabke salt is just fine.
