Ants: Safe and Effective Cure
Ant traps or diffuse peppermint essential oil
It's the season for them, we use a product called Terro in the pest control section of diy stores. comes in 1 & 2 oz plastic bottles in a cardboard box. Follow package directions.
Hello. I highly recommend the commercial products made by Terro. If you look over at the reviews and QA on Amazon and see how highly rated the traps are.
I have been using them both indoors and outdoors - and been very successful in my overall situation. Additionally- I sometimes do an exterior Home defense foundation perimeter type product as well for spiders. Hope this helps.
I use the products mentioned, but, I also look for everywhere they come in and apply diatomaceous earth from a bottle. It's safe to use and they take it home with them which wipes out the nest. Good luck!

I've tried everything and Terro if effective. You can try mixing borax with powdered sugar or cornmeal if you want something natural and it works, but it takes a long time and you have to keep putting it out.
Corn meal kills sugar ants
Diatomaceous earth, food grade. Works even after it gets wet and dries.
Terro liquid bait traps work practically instantly, they're little miracles.
We use Terro also. Awesome stuff.

I use a thin line of diatomaceous earth everywhere they get in. They take it home with them and it kills them.
Just combine equal parts vinegar and water, or straight vinegar. You can also try using diluted vinegar to clean hard surfaces, including floors and countertops, throughout your home
