    Hello. It’s difficult to guess not knowing your location - growing zone.


    For the best local professional advice I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well. Our office has print outs for planting schedules to distribute to our clients.


    Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours ( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal.


    Most plants success depend on their hardness to geographic planting zones. presenting weather conditions and local soil and sunlight exposure.

    Your local experts should have the ideal suggestions for your need.

    Hi, it depends on the type of pumpkin, but the best time of year to plant them early May to June (Northern hemisphere). Pumpkins take 80 - 120 days to mature, so if yours take longer to plant them early May.

    You could consider contacting your local nursery. They'll be able to give you the exact info about your zone and your soil around your area for how to best grow pumpkins there.

    That answer depends on the zone where you live and the type of pumpkin. Call your master gardener association or a nursery to find your zone they should know exactly what does best in your area.

    Interestingly small pumpkins take the same length of time to grow as giant pumpkins, the difference is in the seed you plant. If you want to harvest in October you should aim to plant your seeds in June and if you want to harvest in November the best time to plant pumpkin seeds is a little later than this!

    Depending on your zone and soil type. The further South, the later you can plant. Until early July in zone 8 is the latest I am aware of. Farmers in our area 7a, planted mid June
