LIke most of us during the pandemic lockdown I had plenty of time on my hands, I was looking around my apartment for projects. I had a blank wall/corner above my couch that I wanted to spice up a little.

Before

Here is a before photo. Just a blank white wall. I wanted to do something colorful and budget friendly, so I headed to home depot and picked out some colors that I thought would go nicely together and would compliment my decor.

Here are the colors I picked out and purchased the sample paint sizes. Which are about $4-$5 each.

Work in progress

For the sides I used frogtape to achieve a sharp line. On the top, the half circles were created with a thumb tack pencil and string.

I knew I wanted to incorporate my round mirror so I did a half arch to go with it! I didn't really have a solid plan going into it, I just knew the colors I was going to use and the general are where I wanted it to be. If you really want to see how I did this mural follow me on Instagram and check out one of my highlights called "mural tips". You can see a reel of how I did this here.

Here is the actual final look!

I added a shelf and put all my treasures on it! :)

This is a look that was achieved with only sample colors. I did finish the navy paint but have leftover of every other colors.
