Hi Mari, what a neat idea! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoIsBjENJzk
Hello. There are lamp kits at big box hardware stores to make your bottles and household items into lamps. There pretty cost effective well under $10. I even made a fishing pole lamp.Best wishes with your project.
It might depend on the structure of your lamp but I've seen this done. Did you try the search bar at the top left for tutorials? If there aren't any, I'm sure a general Google search will turn up the answers.
Hi Mari, here's a video of the process. I hope it's helpful. I've never done this.

You can watch this, it may help you.
You can buy a lamp kit with socket and cord. To hide the cord better than have it hanging from the top drill a hole in the bottom of the lamp and feed cord thru to come out the top for the socket. To do so buy a glass bit on Amazon. Make a dam of putty around where you want to drill and fill with water. You have to keep the drill bit cooled or it will break the glass.
