Silly question, but still I would like to know what the consensus is.

I have an area rug that is sitting in front of my kitchen sink and now I have noticed that the backing on the rug has adhered onto the kitchen linoleum. How do I get this up off the floor without ruining the no-wax floor shine?

goo gone would be my first choice....once you get it cleaned up look for new rug that does not use the goooy plastic "no-skid" backing...get a natural rug and pick up a no skid pad that can be cut down to fit if needed. Having the pad separate from the rug also helps when it comes time to clean the rug.
  • A soft plastic putty knife will remove most of the stuck on foam backing. Then spray with water mild soap and using a scrubbing sponge used for no stick pots and pans should do the trick.
