DIY // Wooden Stump Side Table

Medium

I always wanted a wooden stump side table, but they are not really budget friendly - so, when I came across a great untreated stump online, I took the opportunity and got me one.

I love the finished look of our new stump!
This what the stump looked like when I picked it up!
There was lots of sanding involved. Termite treatment as well (please share with me what products you've use on natural wood that had termite damage or active termites).
I also stained the stump, because I had to fill in some termite damage with wood filler, which dried white.
Attaching rolls for easy placement, and it was all done.

how smart of you to protect from termites. In college I lived in an old apartment building on the second floor. I didn't even think of this until I noticed our waterbed developed a leak. It was on the floor. The termites in the old building came up thru the floor, nipped the liner and plastic water bag and it was just enough seepage to support a colony in the water bed. Repairs were made, and termite proofing was a #1 priority from then on. Ah the joys of Southern Calif.

    • @Fenya Kashergen Oh wow, what a mess. Termites are one of those insects, I have lots of respect for, they can ruin your life! Glad everything was fixed, and that you learned from it!
