DIY Marquee Arrow Wall Decor

I have been obsessed with marquee arrows and letters lately. So I decided to create my own. It's a Pottery Barn inspired marquee arrow that I designed and my husband built for our son's room. This project turned out great and I am very excited to share it!
The arrow was made out of scrap wood and the only item I had to purchase was the light set, about $14. We used an MDF board for the backing and a piece of white scrap pvc wood for the frame.
The arrow measures 21 inches nose to tip. After cutting the pieces, we notched out a groove in the center for the backing board and to give space for the wires from the lights.
We glued the lights into the backer board. The lights do not get very hot or very bright so this was wonderful as a nightlight for my son's bedroom.
It provides a nice ambient night lite for my son before light's out time. To see full tutorial and instruction, visit my blog.
