Found this chair at a thrift store for $70 and am desperate to know if I'm sitting on a valuable find. Anyone?

I suspect the fabric is in good or really great condition. This is an Euro style and this would be worth greater the 70 dollars in my opinion from the state of Michigan. Excellent find for you front room or bedroom chair 4 sure

The chair is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and sometimes that is not much unfortunately. It is a lovely chair though. I would try looking on ebay or Craigslist or whatever other online sellers you have and compare the prices - not the asking prices, but the 'sold' prices if you can. This will give you some idea. Parker brand chairs in Australia are well sought after and one in original condition or made over in a sympathetic fabric and leaving the frame natural (best not to paint in this instance if you are trying to sell as original piece - although you can bring back the finish of the wood using some Danish Oil - rub on with soft cloth, leave a few minutes and wipe off - do several coats following instructions on the tin - this stuff has Tung oil in it and enriches the colour of the wood without changing it and also covers up any fading and light scratches). I don't know anything about the brand that you have there. If it is a popular and well sought after brand in your neck of the woods, then I would leave the chair as it is if you want to sell it on.

If you love it and can afford it, buy it. If you're buying for resale, Carole, gave you some great advise.

Buy! Awesome chair and mid-century is all the rage...if reselling, you could ask $200 w/out doing anything... I am so jealous! lol

Check on eBay. You'll def find something via the brand. I was given an old set of pots/pans that were valued at $1,700!

I would snap up this chair in a hot second. Just look at some of the BRAMIN Denmark furniture at this website.... you have quite a find.... just don't paint it! https://www.1stdibs.com/creators/bramin-company/furniture/

Do take into consideration that those that shop 1st Dibs have money coming out their ears.

Sorry I am late responding, but my internet was down! Bramin, like most Danish pieces are rather pricey. I would never pass up a Danish chair, particularly with wood. I check the web and even the vintage ones are pricey! GO FOR IT!

It sure looks comfortable. I'd keep it in a heartbeat.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I bought it!!! Thinking about it now, 24 hours later, I have no idea why I hesitated. It looks a amazing with my fireplace! My only regret is that I didn't get there 10 minutes earlier when they sold the other one. I'll be writing a post soon about it & sharing my favorite leather conditioner.
