Back in the spring I posted about my patio gardens succumbing to a couple of naughty dogs over the winter. I was distraught that I had to basically start all over again! Before I started though I put up a tall decorative fence to keep the culprits out! Here are my results!
Landscape Roses, Cana Lily, Catmint, Chive, and some potted flowers on decorative plant stands are just a few of the things we have going on in this corner.
An old painted stool, with a pot of Giant Lavender Zinnia. (I planted the Zinnia from seed and had no idea that they would actually grow so tall!)
Here you can see one of my hand painted concrete statues. A Japanese dragon that I dubbed Ryuu after I painted him. I own a concrete stepping stone business that I make and paint concrete stepping stones and garden décor.
Here is a close up of Ryuu.
I needed to hide the emptiness of the corner. The dogs destroyed my enormous Bleeding Hearts over the winter. While it made a small comeback this year it was nowhere near where it should it be. So I planted Coleus all around and the Hostas grew beautifully this year as usual.
