Easy Upcycled Fall Centerpiece

With a few household items and some thrift store additions, and dollar store decor you can have a simple centerpiece that brings the feel of fall home!
You'll need a coffee can, a shirt from the thrift store for fabric, twine, and some inexpensive faux flowers and leaves.
I used a man's button down cotton shirt in a good fall color. Cut a piece from the back large enough to cover the can, with some extra on top and bottom to fold over and glue down.
Cover your can with the fabric. I tucked it into the can and secured with hot glue.
Work your way all the way around the can, and when you get to the end, fold over about a half an inch and secure it with glue, like a hem. That'll prevent fraying. Then finish gluing the fabric down.
Glue twine at the back of the can and wrap around to the front so you can tie a small bow.
Arrange your faux flowers and some fall leaves. You can use real flowers, of course. I'd put them in a cup or vase that fits inside the can to prevent leaks.
*Tip - While you're at the thrift store, keep an eye out for brass colored items. They make a great, warm addition to your fall scene. This pair of candlesticks was $8.

Happy Fall everyone!
