Bay Window Curtain Rod

(IC: homeowner)
We couldn't find a simple, wooden, plain black, bay window curtain rod so we made one from some purchased parts and wooden dowel rods and spray painted all fixtures black.
We bought Martha Stewart Brackets and Rod Junction Connectors at Home Depot. We then bought the exact width dowel rod to fit the end caps and junctions. Home Depot cut the size we needed at no charge. We spray painted them all black, one coat of flat black spray paint.
I bought burlap at Hobby Lobby and made the throw pillows on the window seat. I didn't even bother sewing them. I put them together by ironing and using heat bond and made a simple fold over opening on the back.
Rather than going to the time and expense of making a seat cushion for the window seat, I used a taupe colored enamel paint and painted just the seating area. It stands out against the white trim and is simpler.
Front on burlap throw pillows.
Painted window seat.
