Instant Fabric Makeover
Got a boring piece of fabric that needs a makeover? As much as I loved my $6 full-size duvet I snagged from the bargain bin at IKEA, the gray and white pattern fell flat.
In my search for some blue and white Mexican tile-inspired fabric for pillows, I remembered the duvet and decided to use its fabric. Since the pattern was a lot like a coloring book, I figured I'd color in the spaces using felt-tipped Sharpies.
The trick worked and now I'm sitting pretty with cheery pillows that did not cost a fortune.
To clean, handwash fabric in cold water using a mild detergent.
