A French-Inspired Look for a Garage Sale Chair

I purchased this little chair awhile back. Originally it was a dark, dingy brown with icky fabric seat. Immediately I spray painted it silver metallic to coordinate with the silver bar cart (used as our 'out the door' shelves.) I also recovered the seat with the French document print fabric. It was fine...but I merely tired of the look and wanted to update it to work more with our French-inspired living room.
Here's the little garage sale find in it's 'first makeover'. New paint, new fabric seat.
Here's the same chair with its 'second makeover'. Newly 'aged' paint technique on the chair while keeping the same document fabric.
Here's a close up of the 'aged' painted technique. I used regular latex paint and clear glaze in a 3-step process.
Another close up of the chair's 'aged' French-inspired appearance.
These little Hobby Lobby appliques added so much to the French look for just $1.99.
Here's our little chair and cart 'before'. Silver metal look on cart and chair.
Here's the 'after'. Aged technique painted chair with flat black spray painted cart. We like the new look for this little area by the front door.
