Tray Chic

I had four of these trays - the cranberry red was not useful - so I kept them tucked away. Recently I gave them each a new look. Using spray paint, wallpaper samples and shelf liner

    How did you seal it.

Did you use pre-pasted wallpaper, and just wet it to lay it to the tray, or did you use another glue (modpodge, for example), to get it to adhere to the trays?

I think you should give details about how you so perfectly trimmed the edge of first tray shown with gold....that could not have been easy. Taped? Even taping it would have been hard....

Thanks! It looked so amazingly perfect that I thought you must have had taped it. I'm still amazed ----Stevie

Please share what kind of sealer you used on the top. I would love to do this project but need to know how to protect the it as well. I'm an amateur so please bear with me, thanks. :)

WOW!! That looks good. I found a nice size tray that someone had put in the trash. Been trying to come up with something to do with it. Saw this and got inspired. I already have the spray paint and some per-pasted wallpaper.
