Those are great @Pamela Langone ! Could you be more specific regarding how you would like to implement the gourds? In a centerpiece? Mantle Decor? This way I will have a better understanding as to how to help with the gourds!

Get an old flat pan...perhaps a shallow baking pan. Fill it with leaves and/or straw and pile it full of different gourds and sit it beside your front door or just inside the front door, or in the middle of your dining/kitchen table! Attach some small ones on a straw wreath with wire or string and add a bow...hang it on your door!

Rinse them in vinegar water 1-1

These are absolutely beautiful gourds! I used to clean them, spray them with a high gloss varnish, put them in baskets surrounded by fall flowers and leaves. I'd stick a scarecrow or other decorating item in once in awhile, too. They were just beautiful, each one unique, and very popular!

@Pat Neal Hi Pat, I just bought some small pumpkins and gourds from the grocery store last night and was wondering if I spray with the high gloss varnish, how long will they last?

Honestly I think the way they're displayed now is really neat! You could do that indoors or out :-)

Eye-catching the way you have them on that ladder now!

I dried mine years ago and of course the color faded on some of them so I painted them all with acrylic paints just like they were. Now I have some permanent ones to use every year.
