Battle of the Varmints: All Natural Solution to Prevent Deer Damage

We live in the city and yet varmints are having a hey day with our landscaping. We've got deer, we've got moles, we've got voles, we've got rabbits, we've got chipmunks. Yes I could keep going on and on but I believe I've found a solution for the biggest culprit -- the deer.
We've spent a fortune on sprays, powders, gummy smelly tar but nothing seemed to deter them.
Deer have been making a smorgasbord out of our plants. Our beautiful hosta didn't have a chance against the herd of deer in our yard. Yes I said herd -- at least eight.
This hosta is over thirty years old and I brought it with me when we downsized. The plant was dwindling in size -- I was afraid there would be nothing left.
This is an arborvitae that we'd been babying and it was doing fantastic. Then the deer started tearing the middle limbs off. It wasn't that they were even eating on the limbs -- they were just being destructive. Then I just so happened to find an article in my Fine Gardening magazine -- it was a letter to the solutions column and the letter writer had found a solution. The solution was simply eggs and water. To be precise it was 12 eggs to 5 gallons of water or for a smaller batch 3 eggs to 5 quarts of water. I tried it and it seems to be working. For more information you can go to my blog All Our Way.
