Tip For Making Pumpkins Last

Don't you just hate it when the pumpkins in your displays start to get moldy? Here is a simple trick to keep that from happening. AND....your little decorations will look super clean and shiny too!
The dirt and bacteria that is left on these little gourds will eventually cause them to decay!
If you take the time to clean and disinfect them with a little bleach the problem is solved!


(If you don't like bleach....Hydrogen Peroxide works....although it is a little more costly)
Just fill the sink with water. Add the pumpkins/gourds and bleach. Scrub well!
These gourds will last all through October and November! They will be a nice addition to a traditional Cornucopia come Thanksgiving!

    Does anyone know how to preserve a pumpkin that is sitting on the porch for decor, but gets afternoon sun and would get quite warm everyday? Thanks
