    How do they connect to the railing? I didn't see instruction this in the blog.

      I was thinking the same thing. I noticed on her blog the last picture shows some brackets. I read the same question on the comments and this was her response...

      "We actually cut brackets and attached those directly to the rails. You could also buy simple brackets from Home Depot too. Our Planter boxes are roughly 24 inches long by 6 inches wide."

    what do you coat inside of box with to stop rot from dirt.

      Line the box with landscape fabric. Put a layer of small rocks in for drainage.
