I finally took the plunge and purchased some Annie Sloan chalk paint in french linen, along with the dark and clear soft wax. A dresser and a trunk were on the docket to have makeovers.

    no caitlin, the trunk was actually purchased at winners (like the American Marshalls) in bright red. it didn't work anymore so paint it instead of garbage..

    I gotta tell you Meaghan, I painted a buffet in behr's ashwood which is comparable to your french linen - because of this post - and I'm loving it. Thanks for the inspiration.
