Unwanted paint on furniture can be a pain in the butt to get off. We all know the standard stripping, sanding, praying routine but have you ever considered using a heat gun? It is MUCH less messy than stripper and lots faster than sanding. Check out the full tutorial to learn exactly how to rock a gun. http://www.vintagerevivals.com/2012/07/how-to-get-naked-furniture-with-heat.html

The easiest thing I ever did to strip kitchen cabinets, believe it or not was to take them out side, spray oven cleaner on them real heavy . When it bubbled up I used a water hose and was able to wash off 95% of all old paint. I let them sit in the sun and they completely dried in about an hour, I used the oven cleaner the second time to remove any remaining paint. Totally paint free. Stained and reused in laundry room.

I got a heat gun from Santa this year and have been a little fearful of trying it out. Definitely going to pull that bad boy out and get to work! Thanks for the tips!
