Seeding perenials

Hello all of you AWESOME gardeners!! PLEASE HELP ME... Can you seed perenials? If so Can you plant them with original plant to grow bigger? Any help would be great!!!

    Many perennials set seed and will self-sow, Lisa. I'm not sure what you mean by planting them with the original plant to grow bigger. If you plant them next to the original plant, you will end up with a larger clump of echinacea or hellebore, for example, but the plants themselves will not be bigger.
