Bringing out the Ancestors!

I love old family pictures and have quite a few. We have this display in our dining room and it has been a good conversation piece when we have company. The pictures date back as far as the mid 1880's and up to early photos of my husband and I in the 1950's. It's nice to have the pictures out where we can remember past generations and introduce them to our children's generation.
This picture was taken in the mid 1880's. Since it looks like winter, we think it must have been a family Christmas picture. My grandfather is sitting on his grandmother's lap.
My great grandmother is the very proper looking lady on the second row from the bottom, center picture. She loved to decorate & entertain. When I'm setting my dining room table, I sometimes look at her, wondering if she would approve!

Love this. My daughter and I like geneology. She put a tree on wall -from wal marts-and attached ancestors. I want to do something like this soon as I can. Thanks so much for sharing.
