help! i have z brick on 1 wall, w/black mortar. want to maybe try to make it look smooth, if not just anything but z brick!
you should be able to Prime and paint with two coats of latex. HERE IS a post I wrote showing my son installing a thin brick for chimney that they then painted. Painted brick looks great.
White wash or just paint it with a gloss paint for easy cleaning.
White wash would look really pretty. Here is a before and after with white wash. Super easy with Dixie Belle Paint. Just choose from our different whites....we have a true white which is Cotton, a slightly less white white which is Fluff. Then Buttercream has a slight buttery undertone and Drop Cloth which is our number one seller has a slight grayish brown undertone. Any would look great. Just water down our paint....then paint on. It will dry super quick. I would recommend a very thin coat to see how translucent you would like it to be. You would need just an 8 oz container of our chalk mineral paint. We sell it at over 1300 different locations across the US and Canada if you would like to find one click here: https://dixiebellepaint.com/find-a-dixie-belle-paint-retailer/
Hope that helps and have fun!
I would white wash it until I did a complete remodel. Just painting it, in my opinion, doesn't look that great. If you don't like the white wash, then you can paint it, but, if you paint it, you can't white wash it later.
