How to Install a Kitchen Faucet

Fortunately, installing a kitchen faucet is now a DIY project, thanks to manufacturers simplifying the process. Pretty much everything required for the install comes with the kitchen faucet. Occasionally, a kitchen faucet will require a special tightening tool, and that’s something the manufacturer will provide.

Put the spout together. The spout will likely require a few items to be placed in the base, so be sure to follow the instructions and do it in the order they specify. Examples of some of the items include O-ring, gasket, metal washer, spacer, mounting bracket, and nuts.
If you’re installing a single-hole faucet, insert the spout base and water line through the hole in the sink.
Hook up the supply lines. Make sure the hot water goes on the left and the cold water goes on the right. Tighten the lines with a wrench.
Finish any attachments under the counter that may be specific to your kitchen faucet.

Thank you for this post. I have one of those old porcelain or ceramic kitchen sinks (not sure which), and I hate it, so eventually, will want to install a new sink and faucet. I'd like to be able to do the work myself, so this helps.
