Gold Leafing

Do you have a neat little table that just needs a little something "extra"? A friend of mine asked me to finish a decorative table in .....gold. What a great table for some gold leafing!
Here is the table when it came to me.
I needed to fill a few holes and paint the piece in a soft color that could pop through the leafing. Gold leafing is very thin and and sometimes you can see the paint through some of the cracks and tears. So I painted this a soft ivory.
Gold Leafing comes in these little packs and is super super thin.
Paint your piece with a recommended adhesive. Then slowly layer your piece with gold leaf.

Before you know it, it will look like this. No worries!
Softly buff your piece and finish with a protective coating. Check out my blog on Gold Leafing for more details!
