Coastal Wall Decor-Whale

How to take scrap wood and turn it into a high end reclaimed whale for your wall.
At my house, we have stacks of scrap wood, some old, some from old pallets, some from the trash and some just left on our doorsteps.-I guess people know we like to repurpose that old wood into something cool!
I sketched out a whale onto large art paper making a pattern. I then cut it out and traced the pattern onto four pieces of the scrap lumber. After cutting it out with a jig saw, we attached the pieces together with wood glue and screws. We attached hooks so it would hang flat on the wall.
My client loved it-it was the perfect size for her space over the sofa. I lightly sanded it and left the wood raw. It has a very rustic look.
I created a coastal living space for my client and the whale completed the project!
