How can I keep my bird houses for the birds and not the yellow jackets?
Any ideas on how to keep the yellow jackets and wasps from invading my bird houses? They nest in them and scare away the birds.

There are many ways to attract birds to your bird house. However, it can be tricky to to keep wasps out. I think you should spray your bird house. http://www.decor-4-u.com/np1-listing-dept-30060

You need to make a sweet offering that traps them. I'll make a post now on how to do that using sugar water, apple cider vinegar and old fruit in a plastic jar with piercings in the lid so they can go in, but not come out. I lured 100 quickly, and substantially reduced their population.
