Here's a quick, affordable, project to add texture to any space and update a basic light.
All you need is a can of "Tacky Spray" permanent adhesive and some fine jute rope.

Before- covered with "tacky spray glue"

Finished! Still need a great shade, but one thing at a time!

I have been planning to do this to our cottage lamps for a long time. I finally got hubby on board (they were his), so I hope to do them this summer.
