Use of wood in a pond

Hat Tip to April Dugan of Naturescapes (on hometalk) for the inspiration for using this 'stump' as both 'fish cover' and a planting bed!
It's a new pond ...the water will be crystal clear in a day or two.
The fish can get 16"-18" of 'cover' under this stump - and it makes a nice transitional edge to the pond.
