Metallic Clay Leaf Bowls

by Ginger B
Grab some leaves from the back yard or a nature walk and make some beautiful leaf bowls. It's easier than you think and makes a pretty gift.
Clay leaf bowls add a touch of autumn to your decor.
Roll out air dry clay. Press your leaf onto the clay. Cut out with butter knife. Set on a foil hoop to create the bowl shape.
Paint.
It it cracks, you can use Mod Podge to glue the cracks back together. I actually used Mod Podge over the whole bowl to add some extra durability.

Does this require a certain type of paint? Which one did you use? These are lovely.

We made those when doing Church crafts with kids 57 years ago. Made grape tendrils to go with the grape leaves. Amazed to see them again. We used a fired Mexican clay. So easy and incredible fun. I'll have to try these with air dry clay.
