Another Beautiful Buffet

For the past month, I've had lots of fun working on buffet pieces. This latest one was found by a friend of mine online. I love it when my friends are looking out for me. I fell hard for this piece as soon as I saw it and scooped it up and brought it home. It didn't take long for me to decide what to do with it.
I've been using the combo of ASCP Graphite and Coco recently and I love it. The mix of the two colors is a beautiful dark gray. I painted the top of the buffet with that custom color. The front and sides were done in ASCP Old White.
I waxed the top with ASCP Clear and Dark Wax. I thought I would be giving the front and sides both waxes as well. Boy was I wrong. One day I was in a hurry and tried to get the dark wax done. I knew almost immediately that I had messed up. Lesson learned. Being in a hurry just doesn't produce good results. I repainted my mistake and left it alone for a couple of days. Then I tried again with the dark wax. Again, it just didn't look right. So I repainted and stuck with clear wax only. :)
I can't get enough of the combo color with a layer of dark wax.
I sprayed the drawer pulls with oil-rubbed bronze spray paint. It's my favorite color for drawer pulls. This workhorse is ready to help serve Thanksgiving dinner! :)
