Mosaic Tile Framed Mirror

It's almost a universal consensus that we all hate builder-grade plate glass mirrors. It's so easy to spice them up, so I guess that's the silver lining! I looked into using hardware-store mosaic tiles, but they were a bit too pricey for me. My solution? Hot glue and individual glass tiles! I bought them at Hobby Lobby for $15. The tiles have had no problems at all staying put in over a year of use. Plus I did it while 9 months pregnant, so it's a very user-friendly project!

I used hot glue and have had no problem with them coming off. Plus when you get ready to take them off there's no residue left behind on the mirror to clean off

so hot glue does not come loose when using in a bathroom that gets hot and steamy? Is there any other "gluing" substance that can be used? Do you need to grout anything? I love the look of these tiles - it is adorable !

I have never used a glue gun. What type of glue gun do I need to buy? Thank you!

I bought my glue gun on Amazon, so the Required GLUE STICKS are shown with them. Glue Sticks are basically all one size, the occasional difference sometimes being in the length. Only an Industrial Glue Gun might use different ones, BUT ONLY IF YOU WERE ASSEMBLING A FULL SIZE HOUSE WOULD YOU NEED ONE LIKE THAT! LOL Craft stores & Walmart would have all the Glue Gun Supplies you'd need. And once you do have one, I'll bet you'll suddenly come up with an idea or two for using it!

I see no details on this project or a list of materials used. When I click on "want more details about this and other DIY projects" says "A New Word Press Site Coming Soon?"

I have a large old mirror without a frame, I am thinking this would be a wonderful idea for my mirror. Thank you.
