Simple Give Thanks Place Setting

This year I wanted to create a rustic, enchanting, and woodland inspired tablescape filled with earthy colors and pops of gold. I also wanted to find an easy way to incorporate “Give Thanks” into the name place settings. You can view the full post over at my blog, UpcycledTreasures.com
Simple and Rustic "Give Thanks" Place Setting
First I gilded up some faux pears using gold leaf Rub'n Buff. You could also use acrylic or spray paint.
I created some simple flag templates {basically text inside rectangular boxes} on my computer that said "Give Thanks" on one side, and the name on the other. After printing and cutting them out, including cutting the triangle out of the edge to create the "flag" shape, I used double-sided tape to stick the sides together and then slid it onto the stem of the pear. I had printed them onto wood grain cardstock paper.
