Any ideas for polishing a large brass candlestick - floor model other than brasso polish.

Approximately 36" high brass candlestick purchased in Asia over 30 years old - has detail to it as well and Brasso polish does not do anything for it. Thanks

    sand blasting with baking soda.

    Amway Metal Cleaner is a water base cleaner that goes to work as soon as it contacts brass or copper.

    I knew someone that used only lemon oil to clean brass objects. Worth a shot.

    If you have a container large enough to soak it, you fill the container full of cider vinegar and let it soak. It will remove all the years of tarnish and the brass will be beautiful again! I used this method to clean an antique brass bird cage and it came out beautiful. After soaking rub gently with a scrubbie. If it is years old it may take a couple of soakings to get it back to par.
