This waterfall needed some serious help. It was constructed using a lot of large boulders, liner, and concrete. Unfortunately for the customer it never functioned properly. The basin was initially to small, and it lost all of its water within a couple of hours.
We dismantled the entire existing waterfall and basin and started over using just liner and less than half of the existing boulders to create this beautiful waterfall lining the driveway as you drive up to the house. Two of us and a large machine were able to transform this non-functioning feature into a functioning waterfall in 3 days. To learn more about A Frog's Dream please visit us at www.afrogsdream.com.
We all know everyone has the power to DIY their home into a space they love, but imagine if cost wasn't a concern at all!Well, with last week's lottery headlines, we couldn't help but ask ourselves every DIYer's #1 pipe-dream question: If you won the lottery, which room in your home would be the first to undergo a renovation? So, what do you think? Tell us which room in the comments below!
I don't like to use harmful chemicals in my home. Vinegar can be a great biodegradable and green alternative. The acidity in the vinegar is what is doing the work while you are cleaning and cuts through grease, soap scum, mineral deposits, etc. You can see more of my crazy creations here
This isn't your run of the mill staircase makeover, I wanted to achieve a rustic unfinished look for the staircase leading up to our bonus room. Since it was covered in gross carpet, I pulled the carpet away and found potential with some beautiful 2x4 yellow pine. Here is how I finished off our staircase during our staircase makeover.
My daughter's school had a Trunk or Treat for the 2nd time this year. Each class had a book theme, ours was The Cat in the Hat. I had a great time doing it and most of all seeing it come together.I think anyone can use these great ideas for a birthday party as well.... or even classroom decor. Hope you enjoy.
We recently installed a couple of Ring Outdoor Security Cameras at Steph's house as part of our participation in The Home Depot's smart home campaign. These cameras are battery operated, meaning we could install them away from a power source. This gave us a lot more flexibility in their placement. We decided to put them where they could "see" Steph's house rather than "see" out away from it.Take a look at what we did, and how we gave them a bit of camouflage in the form of a birdhouse "slipcover."

We love to make homemade gifts for family and friends and think these pretty little fabric covered flowerpots fit the bill perfectly. They are simple and cheap to make but look fabulous paired with a lovely plant as a thoughtful gift.
I'm a baker and a bit of a collector (hoarder?). I love baking tins, cookie cutters, etc. I have a stash of 6-cup muffin tins that I picked up at a thrift store. I have never baked only six of anything, so I'm not sure why that purchase ever happened. I have discovered something fun to do with them however...
