With the holidays coming up, it's time to start thinking about your Christmas tree! We love to get a real tree each year, and we hate to just throw it away after the holidays are over. So, we came up with an easy way to hold on to our memories from that year - making our Christmas tree trunk into beautiful coasters!Let's get started!
We recently installed a couple of Ring Outdoor Security Cameras at Steph's house as part of our participation in The Home Depot's smart home campaign. These cameras are battery operated, meaning we could install them away from a power source. This gave us a lot more flexibility in their placement. We decided to put them where they could "see" Steph's house rather than "see" out away from it.Take a look at what we did, and how we gave them a bit of camouflage in the form of a birdhouse "slipcover."
A pondless waterfall gives you all the beauty and less work than a pond. Rocky Mountain WaterScape takes great pride in constructing natural streams that make you feel like you are in our mountains. We use wood, moss, moss rock and native plants to complete your water feature. Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing a project I did a while ago, but one that remains one of my favorite budget wall art ideas! Printing some of our wedding photos as engineering prints :) (If you aren't familiar with engineering prints, they are black and white, printed on regular paper, and are designed to showcase your line drawings and graphics. These over-sized prints promote high-quality black and white line drawings in a variety of sizes. Engineering prints are ideal for architects and builders.)The first thing I did was to print some of my favorite wedding photos using the engineering print method. I had mine printed at a local staples.
Im new here to Hometalk but do look at it daily thru e mails and enjoy it and it does give me many ideas to do DIY ! So here is my latest project I decided to post for the first time. It is pretty advanced as you have to have a full workshop with many tools to do this job and muscles or a helper to do this project. If you have any questions please ask !
**update** An added benefit to this Halloween Decor is that you can remove the crumpled paper or stuffing and fold flat for storage. ** I belong to a Facebook group where people post pictures of things they have decorated. This woman posted a picture of her porch and it was decorated for Halloween. So cute. Amongst all her cute things were these burlap jack o lanterns and I asked her if she made them. She hadn't so I searched for them and I later found them online at AtHome. As luck would have it, it appeared that I had everything needed to make these so I thought I would give it a shot.
A few years ago, we bought my husband’s childhood home. We’ve been working our way room by room renovating and Dre modeling our house into a home. We have a 15 foot wide stone fireplace in our living room. The fireplace was dark, gray, and dirty looking. Even after cleaning the stone with TSP, it still looked dull, worn and dirty. I had mentioned to my husband that I would like to paint the stone. He objected. Then, one day he says, “You know, if you want to paint the stone fireplace, I’d be okay with that.” It took me two seconds to jump on that project.
If you know me you know I’m obsessed with a good basket wall! This is a trend that I can’t let go of.When it comes to basket walls I do not strive for perfection. What I think is cool about them is the imperfection! Baskets add so much to a space like color, texture, and warmth. The coolest thing about this project is its easy, affordable, and anyone can do it!
A gabion wall is an increasingly popular fencing solution in residential and commercial landscape settings as well as being effective in erosion control and major infrastructure projects such as railways, bridges and highways. As with any fencing project, it’s good to do your research first so here are a few tips about gabion retaining wall design and installation. As with any fencing project, it’s good to do your research first so here are a few tips about gabion retaining wall design and installation.Once you’ve measured out your fence and purchased the required wire mesh panels, rocks, and other materials you’re ready to begin.Obviously, you need to choose apertures that are smaller than your chosen stones otherwise the rocks will fall out.
Hi there! Dark florals are super trendy and look amazing in a bedroom or on a back splash in a kitchen. This DIY stencil project is simple but elegant and the finished accent wall looks like a professional did it. Let’s get stenciling!
I hate throwing away the nice jars and lids from the candles I burn in my home. So I came up with a way to revitalize them into something pretty to hold gifts or sit on the shelf for storage. I am a constant DIY'er so I have most items around the house to do this project.
