Pottery Barn Knockoff Outdoor Wood Deer

I am obsessed with trying to replicate high end decor catalogs and this time a little Pottery Barn Outdoor Deer caught my attention!
Following is the Pottery Barn Deer that I fell in love with. The price tag...not so much!
At $499 (yes four hundred ninety-nine! ) I knew it would be no trouble making my own with some items from my yard!
I found the perfect supplies right outside my door in this woodpile.
I cut various logs and branches to make my deer head, legs and body and then my favorite part...the antlers!
Would you like to see them? Head over to my blog at the link below!. I like how can leave them out all year and dress them up for the holidays!

You can find a full tutorial of how I made the deer on my blog, Curb Alert! How did I do?

I adore these and Yes, catalog buys are too $$$$ but, great idea books! My husband got me one for Christmas last year and it is growing shelf mushrooms on it, (LOL) We live in a lot of humidity. He did not make it but this was store photo at our warehouse they sold rustic mountain furniture and he got the idea I wanted it! .. Grins, Cyndi

Yours is prettier, I love curly branches and with our rhododendron, I just need a chainsaw for the bigger log pieces!
